Extremely Articulate & Incredibly Precocious
starring Tyler Kimball and James Killough
It’s official: Kimball has become PFC’s very own Tintin, the earnest, passionate young blonde who wishes everyone well, and who wouldn’t sound amiss exclaiming “Gosh, darn it!” whereas Killough is Captain Haddock, the salty old foulmouthed alcoholic curmudgeon.
In the shredder today is Stephen Daldry’s Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. Killough suspects Kimball’s manager has been telling him to love absolutely everything and not piss anyone in Hollywood off, but we’ll see what happens after they’re done with awards season and the crap starts flowing out of the studios once again.

Another great review, guys! Now I know all about the film I need to know without ever watching it. I don’t think I’d be able to see it in public anyway because it seems exactly calculated to make the audience cry a lot and I’m not so good with those movies.
I will say that I absolutely hate the poster for it. I nearly rear-ended someone on Sunset Boulevard because I was trying to figure out if it was for a movie about a kid with too many fingers.
Keep up the good work!
We’re in violent agreement about the poster. See the weekly roundup.
I have to agree with Mr. Tuttle… Another great review – contrasting perspectives and all! I’m beginning to enjoy these reviews so much, that my need to see the films is slowly but surely being replaced by simply watching the reviews. I’m not completely sure if that feeling is due to my own laziness and complacency, the extremely entertaining reviews, or the 5 lbs of Jell-O cake I just ingested.
